A weblog, or "blog," is a text-based series of chronological entries, often called "posts." The contents of blogs range the full-spectrum of internet subjects, but the most common use is for online journals. A technology called "RSS" allows people who read blogs to subscribe, receiving updated content through "feeds." This subscription feature will also allow you to share audio files attached to your posts, which is the phenomena known as podcasting.

Our weblog/podcast server is an excellent way for you to create subscription-based content for your classes! Use it for announcements, journaling, special projects, class discussions, lecture archives, research databases and other ideas.
