The North Campus Library has an ongoing series of academic discussions held in the library. We invite authors, writers, activists, entertainers and more who have made Jacksonville their home and contributed to the richness of our community. Previous features include: Camilla Thompson-local historian on James Weldon Johnson, Dr. Brenda Simmons-Zora Neale Hurston, Marsha Phelts- Author of book on American Beach, Brenda Jackson-Romance Author, Daryll Hall-Stage Aurora, Rutledge Pearson (family) -local activist, Bettye Sessions- Poet and educator, Jacksonville Jaguar player, Rosalyn Burrough-Broadway performer/educator and a Teddy Bear Tea for the Chappell Childcare Center on campus. More to come so keep an eye out for our flyers and emails! We encourage faculty to bring their classes. This event is open to all!
