Change or Die by Alan Deutschman
Change or Die by Alan Deutschman (2006)
In spite of the dramatic title this book captures the process of change, challenges many of the conventional theories and stimulates us to ask if we could do the same. Deutschman promotes the idea of three critical keys – relate, repeat and reframe.
As FCCJ continues to change this might be interesting reading (or listening, the publication is available as a set of 5 CD’s). Inspiring a sense of hope, reminding us of the need to raise expectation and focusing on changing cultures Deutschman provides the success stories arising from a series of unlikely situations. Stressing that we must get from 1 to 2 before thinking of leaping from 1 to 10, and reminding us that change is a verb and becomes action through interaction I think this has something to offer all of us.
I chose to listen to CD’s read by Brian Keeler whose voice makes easy listening.
